Dear Bona Fide Books Friends and Community,
I hope that this email finds you well. First, I'd like to wish you all a safe and happy holiday season.
I am going to keep this brief, but I am writing to let you all know that I will be closing Bona Fide Books at the end of this month. This was an especially hard decision for me to make, however, I know it's for the best.
I want to thank all of you within this community for supporting my endeavor of taking over Bona Fide Books. I wouldn't have been able to succeed this last year without so many of you, and there are a few people I'd especially like to thank. Thank you to: Kim Wyatt for not only founding this wonderful small press, but allowing me to follow in your footsteps and teaching me so much about the book publishing world; Suzanne Roberts who has always supported Bona Fide and helped me put on the Permanent Vacation, Volume 2 launch event at Lake Tahoe Community College; Steve Robison and Ken McNutt for always bringing happy smiles into the office and sharing the world of letterpress with our community; Karen Cutter and Coco Foy for putting on community art classes at HQ; and Gaialicious, Dharma Love, Word After Word, and the many other stores that carried our books and helped get them into the hands of readers across the country.
I hope a small independent press will find its way back into our community one day, but for now, thank you for being a supporter of this small press and believing in our writers.
Wishing you all the best,
P.S. - If you'd like to keep in touch, I'd love to hear from you! You can always reach me at maeko[dot]bradshaw[at]gmail[dot]com
